Where is Zambia and what are the special features?

Zambia lies in the heart of Africa, between Tanzania, Botswana, DR Congo and Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Angola and Namibia. The country is about twice the size of Germany. It is named after the Zambezi River. The landscape is very varied: plateaus, deep valleys, tropical forests and savannas. In addition, Zambia is very rich in water, with rivers, lakes and waterfalls. The Victoria Falls are the best known, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

When is the best time to go: What is the weather like in Zambia?

The climate in Zambia is tropical. May to September is the dry season in Zambia. Temperatures are slightly cooler and can drop to 4°C at night. If you want to go on safari, the best time to go to Zambia is September and October, even though it is very hot and dry then. On the other hand, if you want to see Victoria Falls in all its glory, then you should travel to Zambia at the end of the rainy season, which runs from December to April. However, especially from December to February, there can also be heavy rainfall, and it is hot and muggy. The temperatures are between 27 and 38 degrees. The country turns into a green paradise.
